Fall Vignette at Minter Gardens

Flower
  Print This

Autumn brings so many new looks to the perennial garden with late blooms and changing foliage colours. There's no need for it to seem boring!

This closeup was just a little corner I found at Minter Gardens in Chilliwack, BC a few years ago on a late September afternoon. The focal-point is one of the upright Autumn Stonecrops (probably Sedum spectabile 'Brilliant') surrounded by a sunburst of Sweet Flag (possibly Acorus gramineus 'Licorice' with a lovely accent of Flowering Cabbage to the lower left.
